City of Drista

Drista is a large city built at the southern end of the Dragon Teeth Pass, the majority of its population is Valkte, and the origin to their society. Its buildings consist of ice, Crysallis and hardened snow, surrounded in a high wall protecting the many districts the city is made up of.

Dragon Teeth Mountains

Travellers who want to make it past the Mountain ridge of Dragon Teeth, have to go through the pass the Valkte protect with their city, guiding travellers through the ridge to the other side safely.

Coral Peaks

The Coral Peeks is made up of mostly snow-covered terrains with trees that remain asleep and are crystalised in ice and snow. 

The Wyvin Caves

When a Wyvin is discovered, the Kamina send them to live in isolation somewhere in their realm.

City of Saphina

Saphina is the capital of the Highlands, Realm of the Kamina - a large and luxurious city known for its most prominent feature, ‘The Halo’; one long circuit, rich with traders and merchants from far-flung corners of Aultora; selling exotic and rare goods.

The Jaded City

The Jaded City named such after the Jade Royal family whose descendants were the first to break their chains as slaves to the Voma and gave them freedom to live their own lives.

Shrine of The Lost

The Shrine of The Lost is home to the Ancestral Tree; magnificent veins of shining Ethereal branching up from a rune stone. This tree is the essence of their connection to the Spirit world.

Opal Gardens

The Opal Gardens Realm, home to The Jaded City and where the Rawkken inhabit and is a constant land of war between the Rawkken and the Voma for rights over it's land.

Magenta City

The capital of the Voma’s Sunken Isles is a small but glorious city to behold, dazzled with the finery they crave, it’s lush with crystal clear waters, and a popular plant is known as ‘Vita'harl’ also known as ‘Vit-Dew’.

Virgos Tides

When the Voma retreated to the islands, the Seer Stone washed away into the Virgo Tides, but was recovered and hangs in the city's ‘Crystal Palace’.

The Sunken Isles

The Isles in which the Voma dwell after being run out of the Opal Gardens. 

The Swimming Hole

A place citizens of Aultora retreat to for a relaxing soak and good company. 

The Highlands

The Highlands are vast plains, dotted with lakes and mountainous hills - the city of Saphina is built in the centre, surrounded by towns, hamlets, and farming lands where most of the city’s produce is supplied from.

Cave of The Forgotten

An old cave that left alone due to rumours of it being a burial ground for the fallen that put an end to the Ancients Reign.

Wai Islands

Wai islands are thin and small; surrounded by deeper waters making Ka’Wai a small quint clan - large sea creatures tread the deep shores of white sandy beaches and sudden coral drops.

Aloha Islands

Aloha islands are a sacred and old land used for certain sacred occasions. Ruins lay scattered across the island, where the Dralic believe the ancients once reigned from - The Void Spire.

Ola Islands

Ola islands consist of rich soil that grows the rarest and potent plant-life out of all the Mo’anha islands. Their lands are small and separated by the Ahi territory but are vast with vegetation and large trees that make up their expansive rainforests - inhabited by plenty of creatures to hunt as food, or train as familiars.

Ahi Islands

Ahi islands are rich in exotic metals and intensely hot - dotted with active volcanoes that never sleep, the villages are constructed on the smaller islands with a stretch of water protects them from overflowing lava.

Hona Islands

Hona islands are larger than any other clan island of Mo’anha. Thick clay and stone make up their island and help support the network of tunnels created to connect the Mo’anha islands.

THE

History of Aultora

  • Mo'anha is a small collection of islands that are connected via the banks that break up the land. It was told to be the core of The Ancient's Reign - a dark time for all of Aultora when they were plagued with mighty beings of immense power, their only purpose during their reign being, to obtain more power.

    Ruins of their time are scattered across the islands, murals that tell stories of the Ancient's legacy. It was also the very place the Ancient's met their demise; a sole Kamina brave enough to rise above their captivity of her people, cast a spell called 'Roots of Annihilation'.

    However - this didn't completely wipe out their bloodline...

    The Dralic now inhabit the islands and are know to have been the result of the 'Roots of Annihilation' spell. The Guardians were the first Dralic that emerged from the residue of the spell, a powerful substance known as the Oblivion source.

    It was through the Guardians that more Dralic were born into the world of Aultora - the Mo'anha islands are now proudly inhabited by their kind who live in peace with the other realms in order to right the wrongs of their past demons, the Ancients.

    The Dralic tend to keep to themselves to protect the rest of Aultora from the slithers of power the Ancients left behind that remain on their islands. Such as; the Oblivion Source, The Spire, murals, ruins and more.

    Most of these Ancient relics are located on the central island, the Aloha isle which is known as a sacred place to the Dralic which they keep protected from outsiders.

    The Dralic have strong ties with both the Valkte and the Kamina - their histories entwine in two very different ways.

    When the first Guardians appeared after the demise of the Ancients, the travelled Aultora to heal the damage their kind had done - learning and communicating with the other races that had suffered terribly during the Ancient's reign.

    The Kamina, in particular, suffered greatly - the loss of a great many of their kind along with the destruction of their home and more importantly their archives.

    The Guardians spent a great many years with the Kamina to help them re-build. Sharing the memories of the two souls they were born with, the Kamina and the Ancient that were involved in casting the 'Roots of Annihilation' spell.

    It was because of the Guardians the Kamina's city, the city of Saphina now has an extensive Archive where they keep updated scripts of their history in.

    As for the Valkte - after their first and last massacre of their Blood Lust curse which the Crysallis plagued them with to thwart their greed, the Valkte sought out the Dralic with the intent of slaughtering them to sate their cured hunger but were aided instead by the Guardians to help them learn to heal their wrongs doings, to sate their greed; to give back to the world for what they had taken.

    The Mo'anha islands are a vital part of Aultora, supplying knowledge, wisdom and goods they harness from their lands.

  • Built from ice, hardened snow and Crysallis, Drista is a large city populated by the majority of Valkte. Known for its vast trading with the other realms, the city also acts as a gateway to the entrance of the Dragon Teeth Pass; the only way through the mountain range.

    The Valkte are a young race that weren't around during the 'Ancients reign' - but the Crysallis was, shards of crystal preserving old memories of Aultora. When the Valkte were given sentience by the Crysallis, they received shattered memories of the past, voices and images they couldn’t make sense of, but kept a record of all they were shown in Drista’s History Vaults.

    Their civilisation happened around the same time as the Dralic, two adolescent races learning and growing side by side. At first, it was difficult for the Valkte to control their hunger for flesh, and at the time thought the Dralic were suitable livestock to sate their curse because of their meek population and demeanour.

    The Valkte made a bold move - traversing the Oblivion sea to reach the Dralic’s isolated islands - as soon as their paws touched the sands of their shores - the Dralic’s deities, the Guardians appeared before them.

    They could sense their hunger and desperation, to protect their younglings, they let the Valkte feed on the flesh of a large sea creature that stalked the Mo’anha reefs.

    When the Valkte had their fill - their minds cleared and were grateful to the Guardians for stopping their desperate rampage to slaughter more innocent lives.

    The Guardians decided to help the Valkte by teaching them ways in which to control their hunger and heal the scars they wrought on their path to civilisation. They helped decipher scrolls upon scrolls of the memories they’d kept a record of - helping them learn from the past and build for the future.

    In return - the Valkte helped the Dralic build their homes lending tools they’d learnt to forge from the Crysallis memories. However, the Guardians kept the Valkte from entering the Aloha Island shores, daring to imagine what they would do if they came across such old power as the Oblivion source.

    As of now the Valkte and Dralic live in harmony and trade regularly in compassion for their first meeting and gratitude to the Dralic deities for helping them during their darkest years.

  • The History of Saphina goes back before the time of the ‘Ancients reign’ - the Kamina are one of the oldest races of Aultora and built a civilisation before the time the Ancients wreaked havoc on the seven realms.

    The Kamina have recovered records of their history dating back as far as the arrival of the Ancients - all sealed within the Archives of Saphina city. The Kamina prospered as the capital realm of Aultora - they believe this is what attracted the Ancient’s return.

    The oldest archives describe strange artefacts and ruins that were scattered across the realms housing strange magic and runes. The Kamina studied the murals, the writings, runes and it’s said that it was how they developed their skills as Tempest Guardians, Soul Sirens and Shade Rift Sions.

    It was during the time their skills developed and became more powerful, that the Ancient’s arrived. One of the scrolls in Saphina’s Archives depicts a Kamina’s first sighting of an Ancient.

    A vortex of darkness spiralled the heavens, churning the winds and the seas - horrific magic could be felt in the air making everyone sick and fearful - and then… they appeared.

    Monstrous shadows stretched over the lands, tendrils of thick nightmares whipped around their very being - their eyes echoed with the intent of death.

    Our magic was useless - it bounded off their steel skin like rain, and with just a burning glance - nebulous arms reached up through sudden rifts that cracked through the city. The whole land shook in terror, seas turned black as night and when the sound of screaming thickened the air - we felt the end wash over our great city like a plague.

    Saphina was destroyed during the Ancient’s reign and the Kamina were on the brink of extinction - it wasn’t until after the first brood of the Kamina prisoners, birthed a saviour that found a way to dissolve the Ancient’s, ending their reign and giving birth to the Dralic.

    The Kamina’s name was Ayla - and to this day is worshipped and respected by the Kamina as their goddess. In the centre of the Saphina’s main ring, a statue depicting Ayla stands tall to remind the Kamina of what they lost and what they gained.

    It was thanks to the Dralic deities, the Guardians, that the Kamina recovered the memories of their past before the time of the Ancient’s through the soul of Ayla that gave the Guardians life.

    Saphina is now an open welcoming city that houses many different races, the Kamina of the city thrive on learning from other races and coinhabiting peacefully.

  • The Opal Gardens Realm, home to The Jaded City and where the Rawkken inhabit.

    After the Reign of the Ancients, the Rawkken were reduced in numbers and became 'Bound' to the Voma, a naga-like race that once ruled the Opals Gardens.

    To the south of the Gardens lay a shrine to the Voma's God, Virgo - where they hung a large Seer Stone gifted to them by their God.

    The Jaded city, was previously a 'Bound' camp for the Rawkken, guarded by the Voma - one day, a Rawkken snuck out to visit Virgo's temple, and pray to him to release his people - but he was caught and as punishment, was executed in the centre of the Rawkken 'Bound' camp.

    This caused the Rawkken to revolt against the Voma and war broke out between their kinds.

    During the war, an earthquake hit the realm, Virgo's shrine sank and the south-west of the Gardens broke away into islands. The Voma retreated to the islands during the chaos, whilst the Rawkken kept them pushed back and the Seer Stone washed away into the Virgo Tides.

    The Rawkken swam to the sunken shrine, thanking Virgo in prayer for saving them - thinking the Voma's God turned their back on the serpents and helped free them by forcing the lands apart.

    As they prayed, unknown roots grew from the ruins, small blossoms sprouting from the branches of a spiritual tree - whilst the Rawkken were in the water - their horns changed colour and their new gifts were blessed upon them.

    They built the Jaded city where they were kept as 'The Bound', as a symbol of their freedom, becoming the rightful inhabitants of the Opal Gardens, one of the seven realms.

    When the Voma heard of the Rawkken's new gifts, they grew jealous, becoming obsessed with wanting to take it for themselves.

    They tried to take back their land, but with the Rawkken's new abilities they had grown stronger and more capable. Overtime the Voma's efforts became tiresome, they were reduced to kidnapping Rawkken Fauns, the weaker of their kind.

    Their twisted notion was; that ingesting or wearing a shard of the Rawkken's Horns, known as Ethereal, or even just having a Faun 'Bound' with them, would bestow them with the Rawkken's new abilities. As was expected, more war broke out, blood was shed - and over time the Voma's obsession became merely a fad, a luxury.

    To this day, the Voma run an Ethereal Emporium, selling Rawkken Faun 'Bound', trinkets made from shards of their horns or selling Ethereal powder most commonly as a drug, the list is endless. The Rawkken still battle the Voma’s lust for their kind, armed with their highly trained Warriors of Dawn, who protect the people of their realm from the Voma’s greedy coils.

  • The Voma’s most distinct history is their relationship with their neighbours, the Rawkken. Having kept the Rawkken as slaves in their previous realm, the Opal Gardens, the Rawkken rebelled and forced the Voma to The Sunken Isles. The Voma still to this day continue to attack the Garden’s borders hoping to retrieve their rightful homeland.

    The Voma have been known to kidnap Rawkken Fauns, their obsession with the Oryalis gave them the twisted notion that ingesting Ethereal or wearing a trinket of it on their person, even having a Faun slave known as 'Bound'; will increase their connection to the Spirit World and be able to physically enter the afterlife, a gift granted to the Rawkken by Virgo in return for their suffering and prayer. As is expected, wars broke out, blood was shed - and over time the obsession became merely a fad, a luxury to the Voma.

    To this day, the Voma run an Ethereal Emporium, selling Rawkken Faun slaves, Ethereal trinkets made from shards of their horns, or selling Ethereal powder most commonly as a drug, the list is endless.

    The Kamina have an accord with the Voma that exchanges an heir for the next Matriarch of the Kamina for protection and use of the Iron Maidens. Their last Sovereign was Astra, who fell in love with the current Matriarch of the Kamina, but was slain at his throne before he could give her the next heir. However, their treaty is still active and the Kamina, whilst having not been given an heir yet, still lend their forces to aid the Voma as they see fit. Though this does not include violence against neighbouring realms or aid in war, mostly protection and escort for their current Sovereign, Dajar.
